An experiment with new materials and techniques. Carved from wood, these sculptures move beyond AW's familiar forms of expression, embracing new challenges and creative possibilities. The transition from a two-dimensional surface to three-dimensional form introduced a new relationship with space, where multiple planes, angles, and perspectives could exist within a single work. This expansion of spatial perception reflects an early pursuit of seeing beyond conventional dimensions, a concept that would later become central to the artist’s work.
